Illustrator based in France, graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris
Passionate about drawing and painting from a young age, I trained for over ten years in weekly studio classes before attending a specialised high school in art and design, then completed my Master's at the renowned Beaux-Arts de Paris, France's national school of fine arts.
After several years working as an illustrator — particularly in packaging — I founded Laehui in 2021, first as a brand of illustrated premium greeting cards, before expanding into live event and wedding illustration.
Today, I offer bespoke illustration commissions and live illustration at weddings and events throughout France, Spain and neighbouring countries. With pencil and watercolour, I capture fleeting moments and turn them into something you can hold and cherish.

Drawing long before I could write
Before I could write, I was constantly drawing. My parents noticed and enrolled me in a weekly art class, which I attended with the same teacher from the age of six until seventeen, stopping only the day my teacher retired.
Over those years I discovered oil painting, acrylic, pastels, and the medium that would become my favourite: watercolor.
My teacher noticed what she would call a talent early, though she would be the first to say that talent is also the result of deep passion and relentless work.
AN IMPACTFUL CLASS
Live Model Drawing Class
Over my five years at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, one class shaped my practice more than others : live model drawing in chalk on blackboard. Poses lasted under ten minutes, and anatomy was taught from the inside out, with muscles, bones and tendons shown on a replica skeleton.
Was it really a replica, though...?
Each session featured at least two models, of all ages and body types, changing every few weeks.
The class was designed to be taken for one year only, but I kept sitting in on it as an auditor until the very end of my studies.

01 — Portraits since age twelve
By twelve I was selling collectible sketches at school (until the school banned it). By fourteen my hyperrealistic fan art had taken off on Facebook and I was receiving portrait commissions from as far as Australia and Qatar. Undercharging due to my very young age, I never would have thought I'd make a career of it!
Outside the studio
02 — Just as comfortable in English
My partner is American and we lived there a bit over a year before he moved to France. We still visit often. Between that and my years studying in Seoul, I've spent almost as much of my adult life abroad as in France. I work just as well in English as in French since I communicate in English every day, to the point of sometimes losing my French...!
03 — Meet the studio mascots
When I'm not painting, I'm probably in the garden with my dog and my six quails (three of which I hatched myself!). My first dream was to become a vet but mathematics being my biggest weakness, it would have been impossible to get into vet school, so I chose to focus on art. I also rode horses for 7 years before a long break due to an accident. I got back in the saddle in 2025.
