Biarritz - based illustrator, graduated from
Beaux-Arts de Paris
Laehui Studio is the creative practice of Laury, artist and illustrator. Passionate about drawing and painting from a young age, Laury trained for over ten years in weekly studio classes before attending a specialised high school in applied arts, then completing her Master's at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
After several years working as an illustrator — particularly in packaging — Laury founded Laehui in 2021, initially as a brand of illustrated greeting cards, before expanding to live event illustration.
Today, Laehui Studio offers bespoke illustration services and live illustration at your events. Through pencil and watercolour, she captures and turns fleeting moments into something you can hold.

Drawing long before she could write
Before she could write, she was constantly drawing. Her parents noticed and enrolled her in a weekly art class, one she attended with the same teacher from the age of six until seventeen, stopping only the day her teacher retired.
Over those years she discovered oil painting, acrylic, pastels, and the medium that would become her favourite: watercolour.
Her teacher noticed her talent early — though she would be the first to say that talent is also the result of deep passion and relentless work. It was there that she understood she wanted to make art her path, even without knowing quite which one.
AN IMPACTFUL CLASS
Live Model Drawing Class
Over her five years at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, one class would lastingly shape her practice: live model drawing in chalk on blackboard — less than ten minutes per pose, anatomy taught from the inside out: muscles, bones, tendons, with a skeleton replica on hand.
Each session featured at least two models, of all ages and builds.
Designed to be taken for one year only, Laury would go on to attend it as a free auditor until the very end of her studies.
